    We are doing our exit after the reception, not the ceremony due to pictures.

    It will be 11pm by the time we leave the reception. What do yo think will work for our exit, besides sparkers because its Texas and we will probably be in a burn ban.

    I really want to do bubbles or streamers, but will they show up?

    Pictures would be helpful!

    I posted about this like 2 days ago lol!  we are probably going with rose petals, because of the burn ban and my, uh, fear of sparklers... *ahem*

    I think rose petals or confetti would show up great in pictures.  I think bubbles might be too clear.

    Are you lining the drive with anything? Maybe you could have candles in a jar, or string lights. That way your bubbles and streamers show up.

    What if you had a black light on and sprayed or painted the streamers so they glowed in the dark? I think there are certain types of glow paint that will glow after the black light or natural light has prepped them for long enough.

    @Captain013:  there are two little "porch lights" that will be on.

    I hadnt thought about lining the drive. That would be really pretty. my only concern would be people would knock it over after drinking

    We used dried lavender since the venue nixed sparklers and bubbles and said it had to be biodegradable. It actually showed up pretty nicely in pictures, like snow.Grand exit- in the dark? : wedding exit reception bubbles streamers 0716 Copy

    Ignore the weird faces. Running through showers of lavender ain't easy. :p

    ETA: Lining the drive for lighting is a good idea - they make some super realistic looking LED candles if you're worried about people knocking them over.

    @mzlouis2b:  Would bubbles?

    I googled "wedding bubbles in the dark" and there were plenty of pictures with bubbles that showed up

    We had our grand exit in the dark in Texas, too.  We used bubbles.  So far, I've only seen one photo of our exit, but the bubbles showed up great!  Here it is:

    I can't share the photo because it's of a friend's wedding, not mine, but she had AMAZING photos of their nighttime bubble exit. They were seriously so cool. Even on my own little digital camera, I captured some great ones.

    We had glowsticks but didn't light the walk so it was so dark that the pictures look a bit lame.  Plus my husband's aunt and uncle bopped us on the head with them, glad we didn't give them sparklers lol!
