Hi ladies! We are getting married in July in Evergreen, Colorado and want to do a 4 day mini honeymoon in July, August, or September. I wanted to hear from fellow bees about their trips to Grand Junction and anything you did that was special, memorable, or was a must see or stay in Grand Junction, Colorado! We’d like to tour all the wineries and stay at some bed and breakfasts.

I lived in Grand Junction for a little under a year, and–honestly–I’d go elsewhere! Could you maybe venture a little further and do Moab? Or, Palisade is where the wineries really are located; so, maybe stay at a hotel in Junction and travel to Palisade for the wineries? There’s also a wine festival in Palisade during the summer/fall months (I’m pretty sure in September), so maybe plan to do it then? 🙂

@smarie13: Went to Grand Junction once for a funeral of a close high school friend so maybe i’m biased in thinking it’s a creepy town, but I would pick somewhere else! What about Steamboat Springs? We stayed in a cute little hotel on the main street and they have a jacuzzi on the second floor with a huge window so you can see main street! Just an idea 🙂

I agree with what’s already been said… Grand Junction is not where I’d want to spend a Honeymoon. Steamboat Springs, Breckenridge, Winter Park, Aspen, Vail… all would be better options imo!

Sorry I meant Palisade, where the wineries are!
