I think that sounds lovely.  The only real thing I had of my grandma’s to use was a fake pearl brooch, so I put it on my bouquet.  The watch sounds terrific!

I wore my grandmother’s watch with my wedding dress. A watch isn’t your typical choice, but if it is special to you, I think you should do it. I’m certainly glad I did!

@xcarley:  Not weird at all. I think it’s a lovely “something old,” and formal watches are fabulous accessories. I will say that I am biased, as I plan on wearing a vintage watch as part of my jewelry, as well. ๐Ÿ˜€

I love that idea as well, I wish I could wear my grandmas gold watch – but it’s too loose for me to feel comfortable wearing it (would be devastated if I lost it). If you feel more comfortable in the watch instead of the necklace, I think you should go with it.

I say go for it! I’m planning on wearing a vintage watch my mother gave me in high school- I just have to get the faceplate replaced….. Beach wedding as well (can’t wait!)

The bracelet sounds lovely. Or, you could wrap the necklace around your wrist as a bracelet…or around your bouquet as a bouquet wrap.

@eocenia:  take it to a store and have it fitted! there is no point in having it if it will be just in a drawer

I love the idea of wearing your grandmother’s watch. Very sentimental and Different. If you wished to wear the pearls as well, they’d be appropriate for a beach wedding as pearls are nautical and simple.

Wear the watch. It sounds petite and classy. ๐Ÿ™‚
