I am having a spring wedding. My colors are gray with pops of dark teal, and crimson red. I want the GM to wear gray suits with teal ties, and red rose/peacock feather boutonniere. The BM dresses (tea to ankle length) will be gray with teal shoes, and red boquettes. Is having gray suits and gray dresses too much gray, or will the pops of color in the shoes, ties, flowers etc be enough to liven things up especially for photos? I was thinking of having the suits and dresses be different colors of gray….one lighter and one darker. Should I do darker suits and lighter dresses or visa versa?

Nope, I like the grey on grey look. That’s what I did! Grey BM dress and grey suit with a tiny hint of green in the tie. Loved it!

ladylisasmiles: I think with the different shades of gray and the pops of color, with a spring wedding, will look fine! Here’s another thread – I esp liked the one at the bottom of the first page, (the one with yellow flowers). http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/gray-bm-dresses-gray-suits-too-much-gray/#axzz3AKSLfaIc

ladylisasmiles: Grey on both sides will be fine. If the men are buying their suits, they will get more wear out of a darker grey. If they are renting, it really doesn’t matter.
You can find pics of every possible combination onlline.

ladylisasmiles: I think it will be fine. We are doing the same but with navy. GM ties will match BM flowers.

Wow it’s been a year since I posted this question! I decided on a silver gray lace full lenth dress with red shoes for the bm. My Groom will wear a dove gray and a patterned red tie, and the GM will wear a medium gray suit with a plane red tie. The boquet are red roses and baby’s breath tied together with a teal ribbon. The BM will wear a peacock feather comb in their hair, and the GM will have red rose/peacock feather tied with teal ribbon and jewel boutonniers. I have my venues, dj, florist, photographer, and same day wedding coordinator all booked. All that’s left is to nail down a videographer and last min details like time line etc. I’m nine months out after planning this for 2 years and it’s going smoothly! Thank you for all your suggestions!
