I’ve just recently found out that this works, but the catch is that it may work only on smaller tattoos, not the larger, across-the-back kind of designs…
The material is Moleskin, the soft, flesh colored material that you can find in any drugstore in the footcare isle – it’s self adhesive like a band aid and you can cut it in any shape and it adheres to the skin easily. (the flat kind, not the spongy kind)
After you’ve determined the size and shape of the piece, you can bead it easily with those hotfix rhinestones and create a small, subtle decoration on top of it to disguise the borders of the moleskin, and that would be another option to the tattoo without using makeup.
I experimented with a small area on my shoulder that has a little scar. You’d need to use a smaller stone than I used, but this is the general idea. The possibilities are endless in terms of color, shape, design, etc.
