I LOVE my photographer Alicia D'Amico. Not only is her work beautiful, but her personality was key. She is darling! Since she will be documenting our wedding, beginning to end, it's important that she is easy going, fun to talk to, creative and is just as excited if not more excited than me. Check her out: pureemotionsphotography.com. Our wedding is in November but I fell in love with her clients' photoshoot!

My wedding is in 2 weeks, so I can't really give a thumbs up or down yet... But all of the work on our photographers website is incredible! I think the website is easthillphotography.com
He's in Tallahassee (or Pensacola, I forget) But I believe he travels. Good luck!
I just love my photographer, Audrey Snow! She also does fabulous boudoir shoots. Check her out at www.audreysnowphotography.com.
My photographers have been absolutely amazing. They are based out of Orlando but travel all over the world for weddings. There is no charge to travel to the Tampa Bay area. I am so thrilled with my engagement photos--I could never have dreamed they would turn out so well. They are under $3K for sure.
I used Narrative Image for my wedding a few weeks ago and they were great! They were right around your price point (though I also got albums, so they are probably a bit less, I just chose to add more on). It's a husband/wife team and they kept me at ease and stayed even later than contracted. HTH!

All of our vendors, DOC and other friends have highly recommended Jason Angelini
check out his blog and site www.jasonangelini.com After my daughter and future son in law met him they were sold. He is reasonable and very personable for all dealings.
I love how his wife updates his blog daily. Great place to see his work at different venues. He was one listed too in the BEST OF THE KNOT 2009
@Tampamom: I just spent WAY too much time on Jason's site. He is amazing!
I encourage you other West Coast brides to check out his blog. He has done weddings at SEVERAL locations around the Tampa Bay area (the Powell Crowsley, Lange Farm, the Don Cesar, the Vinoy, etc) and you might find some venue inspiration!
oh I know.... several young teachers at my school are blaming me for "hooking them on Jason's blog".... you can get lost in his work.
Lots of inspiration there for sure.
I loved Jason's work - but he books up pretty far out in advance, partly because he's a great deal as well. If you're interested in him - book early!
As soon as my daughter met Jason after seeing his work....she booked him for next May
he and his wife are awesome at offering suggestions, vendors to help out
lovely couple
Originally, I hired Love Inspired Photography but the engagement shoot turned out to be a bust. It took 3 months to get back the engagement pictures and the lady has been very difficult to communicate with. The pictures were less than satisfactory. If you have not already hired a photographer, I suggest that you steer clear of this company.

Ideas for great photographers at a reasonable price (trying to stay around or under $3,000) Any ideas? Any that you have heard bad things about?
