And at first I was thinking black tuxedoes for everyone, but then I saw a couple of pictures that made me think grey.
Now my colors are green and gold, so I’m wondering if the grey suits would be weird and out of place. What do you guys think would go better?
ETA: Really the colors are green and ivory with gold accents. Gold definitaly won’t be playing a major role or anything. So IDK if that would change anyone’s opinion.

@peabee: I think black tuxes would look better with gold accents, so that’s my vote.
If this helps at all, we’re planning to go with grey tuxes (a darker, charcoal grey). Our colors include shades of blue, shades of green, blue-green, ivory, grey, and silver. Since grey and silver are being used in our palate, it made sense to go with grey tuxes.
I think both grey and black can look nice with green, but the gold is what made me vote for black in this case.

I think black would look so rich with green and gold! Very Gatsby-esque.

I think black would go better with the gold as well

Right, orginally we were going to do black tuxedos with a gold vest and tie. Then I saw these pictures and I started to doubt that. I mean, the gold is very minimal in the decor. We will have gold chivari chairs, and gold escort cards. Those are the only places I really see it in the wedding. So our colors are more green and ivory with gold accents.
I am trying to go for a softer look too, but now I’m leaning toward black again.

Yes, I think the black would go better with the gold accents, but I also think the black would really make the green bridesmaid dresses pop! I like gray tuxes- I’m using gray for my wedding, but I think the black would go better based on what you shared 🙂
