Weddingbee boards

OK, so I know this doesn't have anything to do with wedding planning, but the show Grey's Anatomy has been bugging me lately and I just needed to vent.

So I haven't been keeping up with GA lately, but I read the recaps from one of my buddies. The latest episode, she sort of emphasized how no one on the show values marriage (Mer/Der, McSteamy/Addison, George/Izzie were all adulterous relationships) and so she kind of criticized the whole Gizzie thing, how George is married but he loves Izzie, who wants him to end the marriage yet doesn't want to jeopardize her own job.... Now people are coming in droves to bash my friend and say that all they want is for George and Izzie to be together.

Anyway, it got me thinking, as a newlywed who values her marriage over anything in her life, I really cannot stand this widespread support of the married guy(s) having affairs. I know it's only entertainment, but somehow it makes me feel that Americans are disrespecting the whole concept of marriage, and that if you are meant to be with someone that is not your spouse, it's totally okay to go and sleep with them. 

PLUS! Cristina was giving away all of her wedding gifts despite the marriage being broken off. total ettiquite no-no. they should be returned to the guests, right?

I know GA is one of the most highly watched tv shows and I wouldnt be surprised if many of you bees love it... what do you guys think? am I just overreacting to pure entertainment?
