We’re thinking about using a gourmet grocery store chain’s flowers.  I’ve heard they’re cheaper than a dedicated wedding florist, but haven’t priced it out yet.

I used Whole Foods.  My flowers turned out beautiful.  I got all of the bouquets (6) and bouts (7) for $98.  I didn’t have floral centerpieces.

I am just buying whatever is in season for the 3 for $12 deal they run on in season blooms.  I plan to make a small bouquet for me and the bridesmaids.  I’m not planning to make centerpieces although I may decide to sprinkle some on the tables at the last minute.  We are having a super casual BBQ buffett so spending money on flowers seemed a little silly.

@Brideonabudgetlauren:  great idea thanks! I don’t know why I never thought of whole foods. I was thinking about buying flowers from a farmers market and DIY.

@luvmesumhim:  I bought the flowers there and put the bouquets together at home (rather, my dad did.  He taught landscaping/floral design for a long time lol).

Please excuse the giant ribbon. I like the purple ribbon a little too much! lol

I used Sams for mine and they turned out great, I think! I spent just over two hundred for enough flowers for my bouquet and four boutonnieres, and 3 corsages.  My bridesmaides each carried two long, white gerbera daisies. Mine were DIY.

I am!  Sobeys (in Canada) has an awsome florist, I think that its even fairly cheap to have them make it.  But I am DIY. I can get 3 bunches of flowers for $20 there.

Then, I am going to costco.  2 dozen roses for $17.99!! WOW

They also have bunches of other flowers for $10.

@mssmiley:  Depends on the type of flower but they typically have a decent selection and if you’re not planning on using a lot of flowers it’s a great option.  They come in bunches for that price (they also sell reasonably priced pre-made bouquets for vases that could be easily transformed.)  I really hope they have chrysanthemums and tea roses available for our wedding but you get whatever is in season.  However, if you are deadset on certain flowers/colors this isn’t a good option.

Our Kroger also has beautiful flowers! They get them in like twice a week, so they are always pretty fresh. I think they would be easy to use.
