A good way to tell if something's a good idea is to imagine looking at your wedding pictures 20 years from now. If you think it might be embarrassing, it's not a good idea.
I love chucks and I think its such an awesome idea. I actually wanted to wear them under my dress (I am 5'7 and my FI is 6'0 and I dnt want to be taller than him lol) but my FI protested and so I am not but I did talk him and his guys into doing. Which I was bummed about especially since I had some really cute one personalized with my new last name designed down the side but I will just wear them the day after lol. You definitely want to make sure it will fit the ceremony. I mean you dnt want this platinum wedding with chucks on the guys. Mines in Vegas so it can be pulled off with ease
O and there are plenty of pics out there with guys doing this, its actually pretty popular. Here is one I found that can give you an idea how chucks look with a tux

I love that idea, I've considered asking my guys to wear their Chucks!
I like the idea of wearing chuks and thinks it looks cute depending on the style and time of your wedding. I can see it at a more casual out door wedding but not a more formal wedding. Maybe as a compromise the guys could switch to Chuks at the reception!
My BIL wore more "formal" leather chucks to his reception. Very cool.
I love the look of chucks with a suit - or formal pants, shirt & tie! It looks awesome. I think if your fella usually wears chucks then there's no reason why they couldn't wear some nice new ones for the wedding. Our best man wears them quite a bit and I told him he could wear his for our wedding - but his mother (my fella's mother) has forbidden it cos she's not all that cool with it. But I think if you think it'll suit the wedding and the guys are cool with it you should go for it!!
This is the first thing we decided on... the boys will wear black Chucks. It's all my FI wears outside of work and it reflects his personality. He even has a Converse shoe ornament on our X-mas tree! It's going to look awesome with suits... and especially adorable on my 2-year old nephew whom is going to be our ring bearer. :)
I think this is a fun look and would love it if my guy would do it but he hardly ever wears sneakers so I seriously doubt it'll happen at our wedding.
I think it's a great idea if it falls in line with his personality. If he's trying to do it to be cool, not so much.
I love this idea. I think it's really cute (and I love chucks, too). If you think it will fit with the overall feel of your wedding then totally go for it. I wouldn't suggest it if your wedding is very formal in other aspects, though. Then it would look a little sloppy.
I think it's fun. You can always have them change into them after the ceremony if you're worried about formality.
Thanks everyone. The guys are going to wear tuxes, not suits or shirt and tie, so we ruled it out because it just didn't suit us. When my honey saw pictures he said, no, i don't think I really like that.
My groomsmen are wearing a pretty similar outfit but maybe with vests too,IDK yet,I am thinking of wearing dark purple chucks(wedding colors are dark purple) but I am a lot shorter than my guy (he's 6'1".I am only 5'5") so it might be best if I wear heels for the actual ceremony and chucks at the recpetion lol

My FH wants he and his guys to wear chuck taylor all stars in black. my colors are black ivory and purple. my girls are wearing black dresses and satin flat shoes from payless. what do you guys think? have any of you done this or will you be? do you have any pictures?
