niki2015:  I think that it would look funny, but only because I’m coming from an OCD standpoint. Nude bridesmaids and navy/pink groomsmen sound like they belong in two separate weddings. What is your color scheme? I don’t believe that weddings need to be matchy-matchy, but I do think that the colors should flow. From what you described, it’s a little difficult for me to envision the flow since there is such a contrast between the bridesmaid and groom attire.

With that said, it’s your wedding and you can do whatever the hell you want. If you like it, I love it.

…but there are also many ways to tweak this color decision to make the guys and girls look a little more cohesive. Like ditching coral and using a pale pink/peach for the dresses AND the ties.

niki2015:  Are you dead set on navy suits? Gray suits are awesome too!

Plus, if you choose a lighter shade of pink to accent their navy, it would look great. A pale pink or blush bridesmaid dress woule be super close to nude/champagne. Would you consider a softer shade like that? I could even see adding a pop of hot pink or coral in there somewhere as an accent color. Maybe in the bouquets or boutonniers. I think that would incorporate the colors you want, flow, and totally be different from the norm 🙂

What’s more important to you, looking good or being “unique”? Almost no matter what, if you go with something flashy and bright on his side,  it’s going to clash with your side.

niki2015:  The bridesmaids could have some of the same color in their bouquets to link to the groomsmen. The groomsmen could also wear striped or patterned ties that include the color of the bridesmaids’ dresses.

niki2015:  Sounds good! Also, remember that to have a unique wedding, not every single aspect has to be the most unique option. Things like bridal party attire aren’t as big of a part of the experience as things like your venue, food, and decor.

Well, navy is a neutral suit colour to start with, so don’t be worried about the suits.  Navy is certainly much better than black, especially with the bridesmads in suc a light colour.  Wearing a navy suit with a sport shirt, and no tie (I’m assuming since you didn’t mention ties), is pretty unique as well, so there you have some of the  uniqueness.   And coral/peach, can come in many, many shades.  Since the nude is neutral, really, the men can wear any colour shirt that works with the suits.  Pink/salmon is more universally flattering than coral, and will probably look better next to the nude.  I, for example, abslutely cannot wear coral, or really any shade of orange.  So, more to the pinkish end, than the orange end, of that spectrum would be my suggestion.

As to the general idea, I think it will look great!

I would stick with blush and avoid the nude. I would be very careful with putting some of this colour on the men, putting some of the other in the flowers, and going matchy-matchy back and fourth all over the place. Have a main colour then use the other ones as accents so it doesn’t come off too strong.

Here any way you would be ok with blush colored bridesmaid dresses? Very light pink is almost a neutral, and might match the groomsmen a little better. Or instead  of a bright shirt, a tie in a brighter shade of pink or coral?

Since you have so many unique ideas anyway, I don’t think it’s necessary to have yet another JUST for the sake of being different. But if you really want it, I’m sure it’ll look fine. I like th idea of having the bridesmaids having that color flower in their bouquet
