Hmm what are your other colors? We are doing my SO in Charcoal gray and the gm in silver.  I love the look of that but Idk how the beige would look with the black since its such a different color altogether.

My groom is wearing gray & black, I think the groomsmen are either all black or all gray or something I dunno, that’s FH’s department haha… their vests are all different though, they don’t match at all…. Anyway I don’t think it would be bad to have different colors, it would probably look cool.

Black suits are fine, though navy would go better with the light suit, andis a more useful colour to have in your closet.  When building his wardrobe, a man should always start with a navy suit.  Also, be sure to go to a tailor and get his recommendation on the suits fit and any needed alterations.  It may be pretty inexpensive, and you will not believe how much better the suit will look. It won’t cost you anything to go in and get an opinion and a quote.

Short answer, black is fine, and yes to jackets.

my groom is wearing black and the groomsmen are wearing gray tuxes.

the way i look at it, the bride doesn’t match the bridesmaids, so the groom doesn’t have to match the groomsmen 🙂

i like the idea of the groom wearing something different! go with it!
