So my dear FI was nosing around on the computer last night and started looking through our wedding budget, guest lists, etc. I asked him if he’d given any thought to what he might do for the GM gifts, the small gift we exchange on/near the wedding day, and asked him if he was planning to write a letter to me. He stared at me like I was speaking Greek. He said, “How am I expected to know all this???” (**Caveat: This is the man who didn’t realize there were two rings to buy for me. He still forgets that, lol.) So my request: Do you know of any good, concise, thorough websites that can educate a clueless groom on his role/responsibilities? We are doing a DW but want to keep it fairly traditional. Help!!!

that sounds like my FI. He’s clueless and wanted NOTHING to do with planning. He’s so stressed out with work all the time, it’s hard to get him to focus on the wedding for a few minutes.
So i feel your pain and think that this is a great idea you had to help him get a little more informed. I’m flagging the post to see if anyone has any good suggestions i can borrow too 🙂

I just tell him what he needs to do. I’ve told him multiple times he must write me a card haha he doesn’t want to since he doesn’t “do” cards. I found a cute card on etsy I want to give him and there’s a matching one he can give me, so I just bought the two pack and it will magically appear for him to write in! Men are clueless! Just tell him outright what you need/want him to do that way there’s no way he can say he didn’t know! 😉
