my groom’s not wearing a penguin suit!  but our wedding is also pretty casual…  what’s the vibe of your wedding??  i think that makes all the difference there.  i’m wearing a linen summer dress, going barefoot and wearing a flower wreath in my hair.  he’s wearing khakis, a button down white shirt and chuck taylors.  it’s an outdoor ceremony on what is likely going to be a hot, august afternoon.  we’ve specified to guests on our wedsite that this is a casual event and if they’re comfortable in shorts and flipflops to wear them!

I really think it all depends on the formality of the wedding as to weather or not you could get away with this

We are doing a semi formal wedding by a pond at a historic mansion and having our reception in a barn on the property

My future hubby is not going to wear a suit or jacket either… we are getting married outside at the end of july … he knows he will be way to hot and “sweating like a pig” his words lol

So he is wearing black slacks.. a white button down shirt and a vest and tie… the boys will just be wearing shirt ties and slacks…..

I have to admit though… we watched a video of a groom wearing slacks and suspenders with his shirt and i thought that look was super cute

here is an example pic…
