Our groom’s cake isn’t really fitting with a theme either, but here is a picture of it. Ours will not have the baseball on top, though. We’re doing a “bride” and “groom” strawberry instead. With a groom’s cake, I think you could do just about anything you wanted cake-wise, and then throw on a topper to fit his interests. Good luck!

If it must stay in theme maybe you can use shabby gaters and get away from the official logo. 

 

Or even keep it kinda themed but add gater skin texture to icing – basically keep it subtile.

Hey OP, I’m from Ocala too 🙂 I think we’re going to use our Grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner. That way it can be themed for his interest, but not conflict with the theme at the actual wedding. Not sure if that would work for you, but just an idea!
