So....are you Bees getting (or did you get) your groom a gift on the wedding day?  I didn't think we would, but he casually mentioned something about mine the other day.  So, no I'm freaked out.  What do I get him?  He's super low maintenance and never really says what he wants.

I'm going to get personalized collar stays.  If he's super low maintence then it should be fairly easy.

My guy does not like/need/want anything that is actually affordable!  I am getting him a winch for his 4x4 trail/mud truck. :)

My FI has wanted a bike for so long, so I got him that.  Now we can ride together!

We just exchanged cards, but a nice idea would be www.lovebookonline.com! I just made one for DH for our 1st anniversary!

My fella sold off his stuff, among them a library full of books, a lot of poetry, to come move over to live with me. Most of them were dog eared paperbacks, yes, but that's a lot of stuff to give up. Among them was one of our favorite poets, Spenser, who wrote a Wedding Hymn and love sonnets, the Amoretti.

We met at a poetry reading and poetry will be the theme of the wedding. I am giving all of my bridal party books of poetry suited to each member- to him, and he's expecting nothing- I'll give a beautiful hardcover copy of Spenser's Wedding Hymn and Amoretti, with an inscription in the ink in which we're handwriting the invites, saying something along the lines of how I promise to give back to him everything he gave up to be with me.

We are poor as church mice, and the book is something like 25 dollars.

I just made a lovebook last night and had so much fun with it!  I can't wait to give it to my husband... he hinted about me not getting him anything after I hinted that he should get me something, he did, I didn't.  Oh well, better late than not at all.  Check that website out!

I've been meaning to talk to him about that. I don't think we should get a whole lot for each other. I'd be happy with just a card. We can put our money in other wedding related things (honeymoon!). All I want from him really is a few of his name tags! We're both in the military and I'll be changing my name to his so I'm gonna need some anyway!

I've talked to my FI about it and I don't think she's getting me a gift. Which is good because I don't want one.

I mean, I'm getting one. I'm marrying her, I'm getting a ring, I'm having a ginat party with all my friends and family, I get to wear a fancy new suit, and the I get to go on a long vacation with her. Why would I need more than that? I don't but I'm getting it anyway in the form of gifts from friends and family to go with their showing up for my giant party.

I ask you, what more could I need?

So no, I don't think she's getting me an additional gift.
