I am struggling to think of a gift to give my groom on the day of our wedding. I had suggested a watch to him, but he shot it down saying he doesn’t need two watches.
I’ve been to a bunch of gift-idea websites, but the gifts for men are all about smoking, drinking, or grilling, none of which is a favorite pastime of his.
Has anyone out there come up with a stellar gift idea?

A lot of people are doing boudoir photos for the groom’s present – its what I’m doing. I’m even doing a workout program called Brazil Butt Lift that the Victoria’s Secret models do to get in awesome shape. I’ll be doing more of a Maxim or Victoria’s Secret style shoot that is tasteful with little/less nudity.
My fiance has pretty much everything he wants and he’s not really a watch or cufflink person – this will be the perfect gift for him!

I’m guessing you are giving his budoir gift not in front of his parents and groomsmen? I think my in-laws and parents would faint if they were witnesses to that lol.
I’m having a hard time thinking of a gift for my fiance. He’s a simple man. Loves food, videogames, and cars. I feel like neither of those categories could I get him a lasting, memorible gift. Hrmmm

Hahaha noooooo way!!! My in-laws and parents would also faint! They have no clue I’m going ahead with it and they never will.
I plan on giving it to him on our honeymoon and will wear the lingerie from the boudoir photos for him hehe.

I seriously considered the boudoir, but wanted something I could give him as we are getting ready. I feel like I’m in a similar boat with you, isykitty, the things my fiance is interested in don’t help me with ideas for a gift that will last. I don’t want to get him a wii to celebrate unending love.
So I’m thinking about a set of books…or something along that line. Something that lasts. Nothing specific and fantastic has popped into my mind yet.

That is what I am getting my groom for his gift. I got him a wallet from there for Christmas this year which he just loves.

… We’re saving up and I’m getting breast implants. It’s our gift to each other. lol. Kind of unorthodox, I know. It’s something i’ve always wanted, and he will get to enjoy them. It’s a win-win.
I’m also doing a boudoir shoot.

lol “a wii to celebrate our unending love”
books are a great idea but my fiance is DEFINITELY not a reader. last leisure book he read was about 10 years ago. amazingly sad. we’re both students so we both read plenty everyday. feel like my eyeballs are about to fall out of my head from all the reading lately (we’re studying for our medical school boards right now and as you can see I’m doing a great job)
I wanted to get a gift that I could somehow inscribe our wedding date on. Watch would be perfect but…he has so many. Gosh what else could I inscribe?

I am engraving a saying on his ring, and will give him a card that morning so he knows to look on the inside of his ring

I got my guy a Tag Heur Watch, with a watch case and 4 Tommy Bahama shirts(he loves Hawaiian shirts). I have no idea what he’s getting me, I told him that he can get me some jewelry from the islands when we get there.

I got a new ipod touch through Apple and had it engraved on the back… which is free with purchase off the apple website 🙂 he is also a techy guy who has everything he wants. he has an old ipod, and hasnt upgraded yet (although he wants to desperately) because of wedding planning, so we discussed him getting a new ipod after the wedding…. two birds with one stone… and I know he will LOVE it! I wil be loading some boudoir pictures onto a locked album for his own viewing pleasure as well 🙂

If the traditional gifts don’t work for your guy and you’re not into the boudoir thing, here are some suggestions that might be more up your alley:
