There’s no way to ask your tailor place to have a “slim fit” or “modern fit” tux?  My FH specifically asked for Slim Fit because he didn’t want to look boxy either and he had been working so hard on his physique over the past couple years that he was determined to show off LOL.  Ask if at least they can switch out a jacket or something in a different fitting.  I mean you’re the customer and you are not happy so they should be able to do something.  Maybe even do some temporary cinching from the inside so that it’s not viewable from the outside maybe?

KatyYoung:  Take it to  tailor. Make sure they know it is a rental and that you want temporry alterations done. They will use a much larger stitch than normal so it is easily removed.

julies1949:  That’s a great idea!  Most tailors really know what they’re doing in situations like these and I’m sure they are willing to help out.
