I was going to say that your FI can wear the all black (black vest, tie) and the guys could wear the silver, BUT since he wanted to, maybe just put the guys in black vests and get them a blue/purple striped tie??
I thought about a blue and purple striped tie but then I didn't know what color vest.
Have your FI in a silver vest with silver tie like he wants.
Then have the groomsmen in black vests with either a navy tie that matches the girls, a solid purple tie, or some kind of blue and purple stripe.
Personally, I am not a fan of vests in general, but I realize they are a little more trandition. If you are doing a vest, I would definitely stick with a neutral (probably black). I think a solid bright tie (blue or purple) would look good. Does your groom care what his groomsmen wear?
how about they all wear the silver tux as your fi wants and mix it up a bit with the cravats/ties, each wearing one of your theme colours
@MrsAlbright: No he doesn't care, that's why I'm asking for advice because I hadn't really thought about it either, other than I don't like navy and black together (in one outfit).

You guys don't think it will look weird to have my girls in navy and the guys is a brighter shade of blue? I didn't know if that would look kind of off or not

What color vests and ties should I have the groomsmen wear? My girls are wearing navy blue (see below) and my fiance likes this style of tux (again see below). He wants to wear a silver vest and tie with a black tux, so what should everyone else wear, oh and I don't want them in navy blue vests/ties with black tuxes. My other colors are bright shades of blues and purples.
