My Fiance’ and I are trying to help cut costs to our wedding party by paying for their suits. We arent opposed to renting or buying, we are just unsure what price range we are looking at and where to go. Where did you ladies get their outfits from and how much per person did they cost?

we considered having the guys buy their own grey suits, and it was just going to be too expensive. upwards of $300 each for just “okay” suits. we ended up having them rent grey tuxedo’s but with the vest in the same grey material as the jackets so it looks more like a 3 piece suit- ended up being around $150/guy so we thought that was reasonable! we rented them from American Commodore Tuxedo, but we also looked at Jos. A Bank and Men’s Wearhouse and they were a little more expensive at both of those places but not a ton (i think around $200).

Try not to look at the popular places in town. Stray away from Franchises. Try to find a local mom and pop store in your town and see if they will give you a deal for a free groomsmen suit if you have a certain amount of guys in your wedding.

KKR2014: We got ours at Men’s Wearhouse, I think they were Calvin Klein tuxes and they were a little over $200 each for the rental.

I would just set a colour, or guidelines – ask them what they have to start with, since they might all have suits that’ll work, anyway – and just let them uy their own. Then they can spend as much, or as little, as they want.
It’ll look perfectly good if they’re all in suits, even if they aren’t the same colour.

We picked a suit from JC Penney for the guy’s. I mean it wasn’t the most fitted suit ever but it looked great on everyone and was right around 100 bucks.

We bought our gms suits, they we’re CK suits. We bought them at Burlington coat factory for around 120/130 including adding the ties, shoes, and shirts.

We told our guys “black suites” and then we bought them matching shirts & ties. All but 1 already had a black suite, and were very thankful they didn’t have to spend more money.
