We want our guys to wear khakis and navy blazers, but I’m concerned about the wide variety of styles out there (brass buttons, no brass buttons, different blues, etc.) and want to make sure that everyone matches (or at least isn’t wildly different).
We’re providing the ties, and a white shirt should be a no-brainer. Since khakis vary widely too, though, we thought we’d pick out a pair of reasonably-priced pants available for order online in the necessary range of sizes, and then tell the guys to bring any white button-down shirt, and then we’d rent the blazers. However, I’m having a LOT of trouble finding any such rental service.
Has anyone out there gone with the preppy blazer & khaki look for the groomsmen? If so, did you make the guys buy the whole ensemble so that everyone matched? Did you rent? If so, where? And if not, did the group come even close to matching or complimenting each other? (I’m particularly worried about the photographs!)
