We went to Men’s Wearhouse since we have groomsmen spread over a few different states. We  gor everything done in less than an hour and the tuxes were $170 … but you can easily go lower too.

So far I’ve been really happy with them. My brother has a 54 waist (he’s 6’5 and built like a linebacker) and they got him fitted without batting an eye

@MissFireFlower:  Yep that included ties, vests, pocket squares, shoes and cufflinks

If you sign up for their e-mail list they’re constantly giving away coupons. We had one for $40 off each tux at the time. We chose a Calvin Klein tux and I think they’re very sharp. Can’t wait to see my handsome FI on our wedding day.

I know with Men’s Wearhouse you need to put a deposit down and can make payments as often as you want (up until the wedding date of course) so maybe your GM can pay a little at a time?

What about having them wear a black suit they already have and then having them buy the same shirt, tie, and socks?

Men’s Wearhouse!, my groomsmen got their tuxes for 113 + tax, and that included literally everything.  shirt, vest, jacket, pants, socks, tissue that goes in the pocket, cufflinks and shoes, and there were tuxs that were cheaper as well

My FI was in a wedding over the summer and he got his suit (coat and pants) from JC Penny for $35 total…. Im sure you can find shoes, tie, shirt and socks for less than $100.

The one that he bought was all out shortley after but I remember all of their selections being very cheap. Mainly the pants were like $10. I cant remember if they were in the clearence section or not. The suit itself was Navy blue. Hope this helps! And they do sell Long (since thats what we had to buy).

I’ve seen some pics of guys in nice slacks with a matching vest on (and you can rent just the vest at men’s warehouse for like $30-40 bucks with a tie) but if your groom is in a tux, they at least probably need to be in suits, my fi got his at kg for like $100, it’s just a good black suit that he wore to a wedding as best man, to our wedding and to interviews and such. The wedding he was in, passed out matching ties for the guys to wear as the groomsmens gift and it’s what they wore to the wedding. (they were tasteful, similar colored /themed ties with different textures and such).

You could definitely provide ties/pocket squares later or closer to the wedding, as those don’t really have a long lead time.

As far as I know, Men’s Warehouse will rent vests, but for larger size they are backless. So that might look a little odd to have the slimmer GM in full vests and the bigger guys in backless vests 🙁

It does look like MW is having a winter sale at the moment, buy one, get one for $100 which might help.

Do any of the guys already have black shoes/white shirts to wear?
