Weddingbee boards

Okay..so I was browsing the boards and first came upon the thread of 'Groomsmen with nonmatching suits' started by Dani24 a year ago....

I started to write a comment..and then realized I had my own things I needed advice on and it might take up more room...so I thought to start my own post.

Anyway..;)

Along similar lines as the other thread...I like the idea of not being quite as matchy matchy and for the GM and FI to wear their own black suit, but make it cohesive in some way, like with color.

(I definitely want some shade of a darker purple w/ possible lighter purples and white and ivory as my range of colors.) 

FI would end up buying a suit, since he doesn't have one right now. Also, would like the GM to wear black suits that they can buy as well...or even wear their own.  So, really, the suits themselves don't have to be the exact same, but mostly same in style, but certainly in the color, black.

My other situation is whether to have my FI and his GM wear purple shirts and then FI wear white/ivory tie and GM wear purple ties.....

or...

have FI and GM wear wear shirts and then FI wear white/ivory tie, with GM wearing purple ties...

The ties themselves would probably be best if they were bought and were a nice patterned one with a purple shade. 

Then my other question...

do I have fathers, step bros.,etc. (other important men in the family) wear all white shirts and have them find a purple tie of their own choosing? So that at least they are more cohesive, but can be distinquished from others, b/c of white shirts/their own purple ties or just have them wear any color they want of a shirt and tie as long as they wear black suits?

What about pocketsquare vs. tulip flower?

Yes, I'm having a hard time.....

(Mini-vent: Another reason...I'm on a budget...wayyy smaller than I probably realize and it's making me crazy. haha. (w.o rings or HM...probably trying to make it work for a few thousand...but unless I get more $ I may not get the HM right away like I was hoping ((WDW!)) or get a wedding band fancier than a gold band!? and/or have to cut things - guest list? and the entire list is just over 100 at my most..., real flowers vs. fake?, no real photographer, just use family members to catch pics. of whatever they can w. their own cameras...though I want all these things and it's trying me mad. :( )

P.S. Anyone having any other advice can send me messages. I need it. haha.

Though I digress..as usual..right now I'm asking firstly about the suit situation, as I started w. the post...
