    Hi guys,

I was looking at some ties online for the groomsmen and groom, and noticed they come in three thicknesses - standard, narrow, or skinny (http://www.flickr.com/photos/toybreaker/2592643861/in/set-72157605699780874/ ).  I'm torn between the standard and narrow thickness, and would love to see pictures of either, so we can visually decide what we like the look of best! My fiance doesn't get dresses up often so I don't think he'll have an opinion on this yet.

Thanks in advance for your advice/pictures!

I think it depends in part on the build of the guy.  For example, if you are really tall and skinny, a narrow or skinny width tie may look appropriate.  However, if you are large build, it may not look as good.  I would have him try them on to see what he prefers :-)

My FI and I both prefer the narrow ties. It just seems a little more modern or 'edgy' than the standard size. Unfortunately, his tux rental shop doesn't have narrow ties so if you find them somehwere to buy I would love to know!

I also think it depends on the feel of your wedding overall, if you are doing a more modern wedding, the narrow tie would be more appropriate, and if you are doing a more classic wedding, I think it might be better to go with the standard width tie.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I was kind of thinking that as well, that the narrower ties are a bit more modern, which I think is what we are going for. I guess we'll wait and see what looks best on him first, and then make the groomsmen wear whatever he's wearing, so it looks the same.

@okbride10: The narrow ties I was looking at are at: http://www.cyberoptix.com/topographic.php
