FI is considering getting his groomsmen sneakers in our wedding color (Blue) as a gift and having them wear them with their tuxes. Has anyone done this? How did it look? Did they wear them for both the ceremony + reception? Pictures would be great! ive googled a few but want to see what else is out there!

I was thinking to do chucks for the groom and groomsmen but FH didnt like the idea haha so we will go with reg dress shoe. I think the chucks are a good idea though!

We were going to have custom nikes made thorugh nikeid.com but then we found out that the one shoe that we chose (and the only one we liked) only went up to a 12 and FI’s a 13. I even contacted Nike to see if we could pay more for the larger size and they said no. Total bummer because it would have been absolutely awesome.
These are the styles that we were considering. Our colors are burnt orange and chocolate brown. The guys will be wearing brown suits…

We’re going to do custom Converses – it will be sweet.

I do not really care for sneaker with a tux, seems a bit tacky and childish. JMO. If this is what he wants then go for it. Enjoy your day 🙂

@bryenswife: Uh oh, throwing around the “t” word.

No pics but FI is also wearing sneakers. He has a wide foot and wants to be comfortable, I’m not wearing high heels for the same reason. I guess we’re both tacky and childish.

I’ve practically begged FI to do cool shoes for the wedding, but he’s totally against it–apparently to him, weddings are meant to be formal, and not fun. BOOOOO! 😛

We just had our Groomsmen wear regular dress shoes, but my little sister just got married, and her groomsmen wore Tom’s. It was super cute! They wore them at the ceremony & the reception (it was an outdoor ceremony, so it really made sense). (The picture is goofy, but you can see the shoes really well)
