    @Creiddylad:  Oh god, one time when I was about 18 I ate mostly apples for a week straight.

    The end result was not pleasant.

    Lol no, I guess we hadn’t gone grocery shopping in a while. It was a long time ago.

    @Creiddylad:  I have IBS and the fructose causes excess gas for me and really painful cramping so I tend to avoid them.  My husband was talking about how his belly was hurting yesterday and then mentioned he’d been eating apples regularly.

    @Creiddylad:  I’m actually surprised at the number of “no’s” from people considering the fact that apples are a great source of fiber.

    And fiber = poop. I gas before I poop. Just sayin’.

    Nope, can’t say that they do.

    Although within minutes of eating watermelon I burp. Every time.

    I don’t think I’ve ever eaten enough apples to have that problem.  I don’t dislike them but I don’t love ’em.

    @Creiddylad:  It’s the fiber.

    I love apples but I just recently found out I’m allergic to raw apples.  My throat and tongue get all tingly and itchy!!

    @MrsJX3:  Yeah, I noticed in the past few years my mouth will get a little tingly/puffy when I eat raw apples. I’m probably allergic too. Oh well, I love them to have at work- just toss one in my bag and done!

    But tummy issues, nope. I have one pretty much every day.

    @Creiddylad:  I haven’t noticed it with apples, but my friend once pointed out that grapes cause the same issue! We tested it one night, three of us and a big bunch of grapes. Not such a great plan! lo

    l@MrsJX3:  Try peeling the apples before you eat them! My dad for years has had to peel his apples and pears, the waxy stuff on the skins is what causes him to feel not well!

    @Creiddylad:  i found its best to eat apples before other foods then after. I used to eat an apple after my lunch everyday and i noticed i would feel all gasy and gross. Now i eat then before lunch as a mid morning snack and it doesnt effect me at all anymore

    I don’t find that it makes much of a difference unless I have a ton of them.  When I have a lot of fibrous produce, it happens, but otherwise in normal servings, nope!
