The way I see it, there's nothing for you to stress over. Your mom is throwing it for you and planning it herself. Whatever stresses arise from planning it at the "last minute" are hers to deal with. Just enjoy it and remember she's doing it because she wants to do something nice for you. You're lucky!

So, since my sister (and Maid of Honor) failed at planning either a shower or a bachelorette party, my mom has taken over and has scheduled everything for September 25th. But I just spoke to her and she still hasn't sent out invites because she wanted to talk to my other bridesmaids, who I just found out, can't come because they didn't have enough notice to take off work. Really, I just want to say screw it, don't even bother! This stupid thing is causing me more stress than my whole wedding! And she isn't even going to get the invites out until this weekend (maybe) and people aren't going to have enough notice to come. I have a feeling this shower is going to be my sister, my mom, my MIL and maybe 2 of my bridesmaids staring at each other.
I really would just prefer not to do a shower at all, but I know my mom wants me to have one, but then that just makes me feel awful since I know it's not going to be what she wants and then that pisses me off because if she had planned ahead of time it could be but then I feel more awful for thinking that because I know she has a ton of other things to do and planning a shower isn't her number one concern. ugh...FML.
Grammer Bees, Sorry for all the run on sentences.
