I got the man got the ring but now its time for the planning! the worst ever is finding a place… i checked out the willowpond i loved it but pricey and way too far! im really in a tight spot as i really wanted the place… so hopefully ladies u can help me out!
Outdoor ceremony and then can move inside if thats the only option i have.. 55-60 people… we sent requests to a few places some which we cant even bother as they have a min of 100… we sent a request to alton mills.. anyone know how much they chage?
nottawasga golf course we are checking out next weekend… we were also going to look into pioneer village but i read a few blogs people not liking the food..
tight on budget as i have a house so i cant afford a lavish wedding.. hoping 55-60 people will bring the cost lower than 10000 but inc everything so looking for a place under 5-6 grand. if the places dont offer a caterer anyone know of a reputable but cost afforadable one?

What area are you looking in?

We are likely going with Hockley Valley. We’re having about 150. But I’m sure they could accomodate a smaller wedding party. It looks like with taxes and gratuity our wedding will work out to 156/pp. But they have packages that start at 49.99/pp.
It’s gorgeous there. And their event person is freaking fantastic. I liked her the second I met her.
Hockley isn’t too far from Brampton.

We’re getting married at Heintzman House in Thornhill. 75 people, outdoor ceremony and indoor dinner/reception. It’s an old mansion, very antique but I love it, it has so much character that it doesn’t need a lot of decoration.
You hire your own caterer and bring your own booze, so save money that way.
Our budget is around $12-13,000 and we should be able to stick to it.

The co-ordinator, Christine, is also super helpful, has a list of preferred vendors. We’ve hired On The Move as our caterer, but there are definitely cheaper options on Christine’s list, we just really loved them.

We’re getting married at Paradise Banquet Hall in Vaughan, and we have a really good price! They have one room that’s smaller, the Prince Room. However, we got the discounted price because we’re going on a Sunday (also offered on Fridays or off-season), but for cake, open bar, 4 course meal, cocktail hour, and deluxe late night dessert bar, and ceremony on site, we’re at about $10K for 120-130 people.
