@AngieGal:  Otello’s in Oakville offers a very all inclusive package, it’s a really nice banquet hall and easy to get to.

You can try the Paletta Mansion in Burlington( http://cms.burlington.ca/Page12739.aspx ) if thats not too far for you.

I’m not sure what the cost is but it’s a really nice place.  You didn’t mention exactly what your budget is but you said “low cost” so you can definitely count out places like Sunnybrook Estates and Greydon Hall Manor…I was MOH for a wedding last year and the bride said the prices for those two places were ridiculous.

You can also try the Hart House at U of T http://harthouse.ca/weddings/

@MsGinkgo:  I agree! my cousin jsut had her wedding at Otellos and it was amazing! She had it on a friday with open bar, 100 guests and it was about 8 grand. I highly recommendit.

@AngieGal:  Hi! I highly recommend The Estate. I had my engagment party there and my bridal shower just this past weekend. The food is amazing and service is very good. The main room is large enough for your wedding and has just been renovated so it looks new! If you have any questions about this venue let me know!

Hi!

Old Mill Inn is beautiful! Both the venue and the grounds

Old Mill can definitely accomodate larger crowds.

The Fermenting Cellar in the Distillery District is a really cool space.

Maybe the Estates of Sunnybrook?

@AngieGal:  The surrounding area isn’t too bad. It’s industrial but the banquet hall is very close to Markham Road – there is a tim hortons right beside the hall as well. They also have Chiavari chairs which is a nice touch (included in the price)! We had about 115 people at our engagement party so it wasn’t as large as your wedding which could affect the price. I think they have the same ‘hidden’ fees as most halls – we didn’t have a band or special lighting but I believe they charge for those items. It’s worth checking out for sure!

@AngieGal:  We checked out Estate Banquet Hall. It was nice inside, but really, the one room is the whole place. And there is NOTHING attractive around the venue. Plus the lady giving us a quote appeared to be making prices up off of the top of her head and wrote it out for us on some lined paper.

If you’re looking for Scarborough specifically, try The Brighton Convention and Event Centre (formerly Grand Baccus).
