@MissAsB: Not all short sales are bad, a lot of times they are GREAT deals that just take a lot of patience! Some take as long as 6 months, but for the most part, take closer to 3 months. Will you have a realtor with experience in SS? Our realtor has made all the difference, he actually specializes in SS and foreclosures and always has the inside scoop on stuff, he usually knows exactly how long it will take.

Hey ladies! I can now officially join you because my husband and I decided to start looking at houses! It might be just me looking at houses sometimes because he is going to be traveling for work. This is our second house so it's not as scary but we are considering short sales which is a whole new area for us.
I'm probably going to start looking at financing soon and then go from there.
Can't wait to keep you guys updated on our search!
