pill (birth control). We are under no circumstances trying for a baby ... but after much deliberation ... we decided it's ok if I don't take it!

The only reason why we don't try for a baby is b/c of H's bachelor pad situation = we need a real house.

Just a personal announcement to weddingbee =)

So I am going to start doing all "that healthy" stuff ... vitamins ... eating green vegetables ... mmmm hhhmmm

Niiice! I wish I could stop, but we are under NO CIRCUMSTANCES able to have a baby right now. That would be bad bad bad. Congrats on getting off the pill - I'm jealous!!

are you not nervous?  I stopped taking if for a month and was freakin out! lol Of course we aren't married yet and I have to fit into a wedding gown lol  I guess if I were married, I wouldn't have freaked out as much.

Good Luck to you on your health journeySmile

    Yahhh!

I just went off mine in October and this month when the Red Demon showed, it was pure Hell.LOL But it's gone now, so it's all good. It feels good to be free of any medications, especially after all the yrs I was on them!

Good luck and enjoy being free.LOL

Dude... you are brave! :) I hate BC though... it makes me crazy.

Do you WANT to get pregnant? I know you aren't trying- but obviously if you're getting busy & you aren't using any form of bc its bound to happen...

congrats...did you start the PNV before going off the pill?  just to be safe, I think most places recommend *at least* 2 months on folic acid before possible pregnancy, plus no sushi for 2 mos, etc....I went off in May but have been using "backup" until my body gets all sorted out...I'm planning to stop alchohol 100% after my graduation party on Sunday & cut WAY back on caffeine...if you need any resources, feel free to PM me...good luck!

Hey, as long as you know your body, it's not "bound to happen," haha. NFP and ovulation and all that business.

...But are you trying?! I can't tell from your post!

@minutiae: I know my ovulation cycle like I know the back of my hand... but I still take precautions *hoping* I don't get a surprise! I stand by my bound to happen! lol :) They're newlyweds! hehe

I'm with Bellenga! I can't wait to see your photos MsH! I'm more excited for your pics than anyone elses :)

Wow, so cool!!  I asked Fi about what our BC situation was going to be after the wedding, I was hoping he would say I could get off, but he told me to renew my prescription.  I know things change and I hope I get to stop right after our wedding too!

I would agree that if you are not using bc, and are having sex, you are trying for a baby.  That's not necessarily a bad thing, but don't delude yourself that you are not trying.

FI is deployed at the moment and back in February, wedding is in April and I went off the month after he left (Oct) after almost 14 years of being on them!  WAY too long and I 'm so relieved to give myself the break.  We will rely on alternative methods when he returns but I'm hoping between going off them, keeping an eye on my cycle and continuing with multivitamins we'll be ready to try when we're ready to try!  Hope it works out for you too!

I just stopped taking the pill as well. We aren't trying, but we aren't not trying either. It's kind of nerve-wracking and exciting all wrapped up in one bow.

I would not stop right before my wedding, since it can screw up your cycle (it would suck to have AF while on my honeymoon).  Even one month isn't enough time to regulate (it can take months to regulate).  This is true even if you have stopped before and nothing changed (doesn't mean the same will happen this time).
