I’m sorry – that sucks but it sounds like you’re taking it in stride.

If you do want a boquet to carry – what about just picking up some roses or something at the grocery store?

I am so sorry this happened to you, and so close to the wedding day too.

but for that $150  you WAS  going to pay her,  cant you do as the pp said and get supermarket flowers, or go and get silk bouquets from a craft store?

i think its terrible not to have told you sooner if she was scared to do it.  if you hadnt have emailed her, when WAS  she going to tell you she wasnt confident enough to do it, on the morning of your wedding.   what a total bitch.

@lergx6:

there are a million youtube videos on making bouts  from fresh or silk flowers,   you can totally do it!    please try to.   enlist your bridesmaids to help you.

silk bouquets cost very little, and they could double up for table decorations afterwards. but fresh flowers from a supermarket would be perfect with just a ribbon tied around the stems….

as for the alter……maybe a tall vase with 2-3 orchids in it…..less is more ya know.

wow I’m proud of your whole attitude towards this, seriously. Hopefully you can do something/find someone that can do it for you even better than she could even imagine. I don’t have any good advice but I am sending you lots of good luck!

Sounds like she was looking for a way out.  Good thing you found out now as opposed to her having a mental breakdown and jumping into another dumpster during your wedding day.

Yikes! I’d totally freak out. My BFF is using a silk bridesmaid flowers and grocery store flowers for her bouquet.  You could do something like that.

Silks would be easy to do yourself in the amount of time you have!

You are taking it so well. I wish I could be so level headed 😉
