Unless I DIY my own guestbook, I probably cannot buy a ready made one because I only have about 10 guests! I’ll have tons of empty pages.

@Soxgirl3:   I’m getting vintage postcards and having my guest sign those with their “best wishes” notes. Then they can pin them on a cork board. I wanted something simply and artsy that I can hang on my wall at home. I would never hang the “tree” or the huge picture with writing all over it. Seems like a waste. I’m getting WW11 retro vintage postcards.

Well, I am expecting/hoping (for) 150 guests and made the guest book photo mat.  It is big enough for everyone to sign and after much thought, just knew I didn’t want the typical sign in book.  I have a space on my wall in the dining area where the frame will hang with a picture of us and alll our guests signatures.  I knew the average sing in picture mat would not be big enough for us, so I made my own.

@Soxgirl3:  Glad I can help. 🙂

If you use the idea, you can tell me how it works out. since your wedding is before mine. lol

I plan on doing the guestbook tree, as well as putting “story” books on the tables for people to sign/give advice/congrats/etc. After the wedding. I will frame the tree and hang it in the dining room, and bind the books together and keep them on a bookshelf.

@brandybelle:   I liked that idea too.

If you guys have a favorite kids story book, you can use that as your guest book. like, “Where the wild things are.” “Dr. Sues books” etc.

Ugghh I’m stuck too.

What I have: Paper, Photo Album

Orginally I was thinking of taking out the photo sheets from the album and putting in traditional guest book pages, when all is said and done adding the photo pages back in with wedding photos.

But what to put on the pages?

And then we added a photobooth.  So in theory I could have guests print a picture and put in the book but we have to choose before the event begins whether we want guests to get the strip of pics or 1 4×6.  The 4×6 would be better for putting in the album, the strip would be more fun for guests.

So then there’s an option of having guests put a strip in the album on the pages but I’m not sure how they would fit…it’s more rectangular shaped than square, the strips might be too tall…sideways might be weird :/

SIGHHHHH!!!!!

I made ours on Mixbook and had a sign page next to a page with pictures from our engagement shoot; that way we will have more incentive to actually look at our guest book again and it gave me a good use of all the wonderful engagement pics instead of only using them for STDs.

@Soxgirl3:  LOL yeah I agree!  So then I’m racking my brain to think of a way to use the strips in the guestbook we have…so far no good ideas.

We do get a disc at the end of the night with all the pics in 4×6 format.  So we can still add a photobooth pic element…but then we have to worry about guests who don’t use the photobooth…since they don’t HAVE to go stick a picture in the book they might just skip it.

Or we could leave a 4×6 DO NOT WRITE space on each page to put a picture in later…or not LOL!!!

I guess just a traditional page is probably the least complicated for us at this point…unless someone can make this make sense for me 🙁

We had 2-20pg photo books telling “our story” this page you see doesn’t have much room, but  most of them did. We had about 175 guests and still had a few open spaces.
