were actually making a book with all of our engagement photos in it, with spaces that have the questions like "what is mairrage", "what does lve mean to you", "advice for the couple" and other comments throughout - it will also be used to of course sign their names like a regular guest book
What a great idea! Who are you using to print the book? That sounds beautiful!

our photographer actually has a whosaler that he deals with...altough I know there are other alternitives online....like this...

I love it, and its nice to have all of our engagement photos together surroudned by the names/wisdom and encouragement of those who spent our wonderful day together
I'm doing the wishing bowl too. I found some great wording to place next to it. It reads.... "From each of your experiences comes a very treasured gift a piece of hidden knowledge we didnt know exists please share with us your wisdom about marriage, love and life how to be a loving husband or the perfect wife (might take out perfect) please write your toughts & gestures to share with us for life for all the greatest gift of all is the gift of your advice" I'm not sure where I found this, but I thought it was cute. I thought the same thing, I wanted someting I could scrapebook with or frame with pictures.
Thanks so much for sharing that nc80120! I absolutely love that!! What are you planning on doing? Framing the wording, and placing it next to the bowl? That is absolutely perfect!!
We're doing something similar to the wishing bowl, but using an antique birdcage. I made two labels using adobe illustrator (30 day free trial), one says "Wedding Wishes" and the other says "Please leave a special note for the bride and groom." I punched holes in the labels and ran ribbon through them, then tied them to the bird cage. It looks awesome (I don't have pics yet though :( ) You could probably make something similar. Depending on the shape of your bowl, you could affix the labels to the bowl using ribbon or some kind of adhesive (like xyron).
I did the wishing bowl too! I made little cards in my wedding colors (same as yours, pink and green!) and then had my guests write their wishes on the cards. I'll be putting them into my wedding scrapbook next to photos of the guest that wrote the card (if possible). It'll be great to read those little cards again later on and see a photo of the person who wrote it at your wedding. Now I just need to start on my scrapbook :D

Hey Hive! Just wanted to see what everyone is planning on doing for their guest books. We were thinking of having a large glass bowl, with pieces of paper next to it labeled "Advice", "Wishes", and "Predictions". Our thinking is that guests can write us a wish, piece of advice, or prediction for our future on a piece of paper then sign their name, fold it up, and put it in the bowl. I'm planning on taking all of the notes afterward and putting them into a scrapbook with miscellaneous pictures from the wedding. The pieces of paper will be in our wedding colors (pink and green). I also might put some matching colored beads/sea glass in the bottom of the bowl just to punch it up a little. What do you think of this idea? What is everyone else doing for their guest books? Would love to hear what everyone else is doing, and to get feedback on my plan! Thanks! :)
