Hey, I am looking to do something different than a traditional guestbook for our wedding. I saw these photo mats and thought they were nice and practical.
Size: Frame measures 18 1/2″ by 22 1/2 inches. Holds a 5″ x 7″ photo and up to 250 signatures.
My question is, has anyone used something like this? Can you actually fit 250 signatures on there? Even though I am expecting around 120 people, I am worried that people might write a lot and we will run out of room. Do you need 2 frames then? Also, do you use your engagement picture and then swap out with one of your wedding pictures later? Any tips or feedback would be great.

Even if you expect 120 people, couples may sign as one – i think that’s more then enough room….and a fantastic idea 🙂 Friends of ours have something similar framed in their house, and i’ve always been envious….

I love this idea! Where did you get the photo mat?

We had people sign a poster and most just signed their name and congratulations. I think you will be fine!

Silverblade: I just got this frame and matte from Michaels, it’s an 8×10 photo and a 16×20 matte so I’m a bit worried it won’t hold all of our 100 guests signatures, but i would rather the matte be filled to the brim than with lots of space!!

Silverblade: I did something similar, instead of a photo it’s our last name written in photographs. That doesn’t make a bit of sense the way I explained it but it doesn’t matter, anyway most people just wrote their name and many people didn’t sign. Also couples and families signed together. I think that’ll be plenty of space 🙂
It cracks me up that one of the people on that sample photo you posted wrote “Good luck…” Oh Joe Martin, marriage must not have been good to you.
