Has anyone used/is using guest rocks? I planned on using polished river rocks for our guest book and sharpies for everyone to sign the rocks. I’m concerned that eventually the marker will rub off with the polished stones. Comments?? Advice?? Thanks:)

I had thought about this and was just going to get rocks from the beach… but what I don’ tknow is what you do with the rocks afterwards. Are you guys planning to display them in some cute way?

My officiant did this for his wedding a few years ago and hasnt had any issues. you can always add a clear coating on top however if your concerned (do a test run first).

i’m going to just spread them out on a small table and have and empty fishbowl where people can place their already signed ones. I might paint a few and put them in the bowl so it’s not completely empty to begin with

I have a wrought iron box that’s pretty open that I’m going to put them in to display in our home:) I’ve also seen people put them in large vases with curly willow branches as well (kinda like the photo below).
With the polished rocks I’m also concerned about them getting smudged while people are signing them before they have a chance to dry.
