Guest photos making me cringe…

@sherryberry:  I know how you feel.  During my bridal shower guests where taking photos with camera phones, etc and some of these photos ended up on FB and in my email inbox. I remember being in tears because I looked terrible in most of them (and I also was in a little shock that people felt the need to send me such bad photos).  I was then terrified to take engagement photos with our wedding photographer because I feared the end result.  Boy, did I get a surprise when I saw how nice I looked in many of the photos.

Do yourself a favor, ignore the non professional shots and wait for the pro photos.  Professionals know how to handle angles, lighting, etc.  I am sure that if you were not standing correctly your photographer would have said something to you.

@sherryberry:  The professionals pose you right in good lighting.  The guests just snap away without consideration of angles.

I believe there’s a saying…  The pictures that you post of yourself show you in good light.  The pictures others post of you show them in good light.

The photos people post on Facebook that are acceptible to them usually disturb me all around. Unflattering photos need to be thrown away!

I couldn’t agree more about guest photos making me cringe. That’s one of the reasons why we did an unplugged wedding with a special request that guests not post to social media outlets. Only one of the guest photos was halfway decent. There was a guests that did a full play-by-play of our ceremony (and loaded it right after the ceremony!!!) and every photo was blurry, dark, and in really awkward poses (e.g. my mouth is wide open because I was speaking).

@sherryberry:  I have a habit of pulling up my shoulders when I’m nervous, and I totally noticed it in my pics, my husband assured me that it’s cute, but I agree I totally agree, I wish I looked more relaxed!

@sherryberry:  i am sure its not as bad as you think we all project those things we like the least and notice them 1000 times more then others … if you really dont like the photos u could always ask ppl to take them dwon
