I think Polaroid would work better with an industrial loft setting.
@Miss_nemesys: I agree with Scottsouth. I think the Polaroid option will go better with the industrial loft/modern/fun vibe of the venue.
Taking pics of the guests as they arrive...such a great idea! I like the polaroid option for the guestbook.

The future husband and I chose to have our upcoming wedding in a 3 story industrial loft. The ceremony will take place on the 3rd floor and thereafter make our way down to the cocktail hour and reception on the 2nd and 1st floors.
We decided to have a photographer take pics of our guest on a custom made backdrop as they enter the building and as a favor our guest will leave with their pic with a special thank you printed on the back.
My dilemma is should I have the photographer print out an extra pic to make a "Polaroid inspired" guestbook and have our guest write their well wishes in their OR should we create another type such as a Mixbook guestbook? Both would be great options!
