I love the mad lib idea and will be doing it myself! I got a bunch of ideas on the DIY boards on here. :)
The yearbook idea is so cute!
We'll be doing a "well wishes" board. Everyone will fill out prompted cards and hang them on decorative bulletin boards that we can hang up in our apartment.
We are doing something like your first idea, we got a book printed with our epics in it and with some blank pages to have people sign around. Cause I won't look at a book of names but I might actually look at my pictures!

I truly don't understand the purpose of a traditional guest book - ya know the kind full of pages of lines for each guest to simply sign their name. I get that its a reminder to look back on and see who attended the event. However I am all about putting a unique spin on tratditional wedding details. I've been tossing around a few ideas for our guestbook.... please lmk what you think and any pros/cons with them!
1. Put together a "yearbook" style book of SO and I throught the years (we "dated" in 8th grade and thought it would be neat to include images of us that young!) but instead of filling up every page with pictures, leave some empty space for guests to write wedding wishes to us. At least it would be something we may actually look back at... instead of the just a list of names.
2. I just stumbled on this on another post or site and thought it was a really fun idea! Leave a madlib style note card on each plate for everyone to fill out. Something to likes of a wedding wish but leave room for the guest to intrepret it how ever they want (funny, serious, etc.) after the wedding, scan them all into the computer. (I guess it imparitive to know that we are getting all of our pictures on a disk and we're making our own coffee table book from mixbook.com or shutterfly.com) As I put together the book of pictures I would scan in the well wishes and scatter them throughout the pictures to break up the monotony and that way i only have 1 book to keep track of instead of 2 different.
LMK what ya think! or if you have any other ideas I'm open to them! :) always looking for unique ideas!
