Ok so i bought a guest book from shutterfly and went with the all black classic and now i dont know what pens to use..
i bought some silver sharpies tried them out today and they didnt work
was it maybe just the pens i bought or are all silver sharpies like that??
what can i use for pens on our guestbook on black photo-y paper??

You could always kick it old school style and get metallic gel pens?

@jo.lee: I don’t recommend the metalic gel pens. One of my friends tried to do that with her photobook guestbook and they altered between not writing at all and smearing. It was very not successful and unfortunately we didn’t realize this until at the wedding. 🙁
To the OP – my recommendation was going to be a silver Sharpie. Did it not write or did it smear? Maybe it was an issue with that specific marker as black Sharpies were the only thing that we could find that would write on my white photopaper pages.

I used the silver and gold sharpies and they didn’t work that well. They bled and they were too thick. I think the fine point sharpies would be better, but I haven’t seen them in metallics and they might also bleed. Sorry that’s not too much help…

What about looking into whatever is used for autographing? Maybe you could ask at a local camera or printing shop about what would work?
