i was just pondering this today. i’ve beent rying to come up with something more interesting. i feel like i kept being pointed in the direction of a book of engagement photos- there are always groupon deals for photobooks- but i really dont want one. it just feels too much like a yearbook to me.

today, in another thread someone mentioned getting a nice photo coffee table book about the college that she and her husband attended. i liked the idea and i think ill look into it- my fiance and i met in college! and while its still a book being signed, at least it wont have our faces in it 🙂

We’ll have a photobooth (guests take their photos home for souvenirs, but there will be an online gallery where we get copyrights to reprint/download and make our own guest scrapbook).

And a manzanita wish tree (we have manzanita centerpieces for our reception).

@Buboys_Gurl:  We are having a guest quilt. Guests write with fabric pens on preprepared squares in our colors, then they are sewn together and a quilted.  My mother is a quilter. (if you don’t have a quilter-mom you can send it out to prof. people to quilt it up).

we’re having 2 guestbooks. one to go along with the photo booth- guests will keep one print out (which will be their favor) and the other will be placed in a scrapbook where they can write a little message. our other guest book will be made up of our engagement pictures.

We did a poster that looked like a big tree, and guests were supposed to sign the leaves of the tree.  I even put a little sign in front of it explaining what to do, and everyone missed the memo.  Only about half of the people who came signed it, and a few wrote something totally not on the leaves at all.  It’s now sitting on the floor of our guestroom and we’re trying to figure out what to do with it….lol.  Totally didn’t work out at all!

I want to do a photobook with our engagement pictures in it, but with blank white space on the pages too for people to sign randomly. I wanted some idea that I would actually keep around the house and display.

We are thinking of doing Mad Lib guest cards. The cards would be great to put in a scrapbook and look back on. The mad libs are a great way to get the guests involved and gives them something to do when they get to the reception. We are going to have a few designated baskets that the guests can put the cards in when they are finished filling the blanks and signing their names. We’re excited!

I want to actually incorporate a couple of ideas…I would like to get a book of our e-pictures (which have yet to be taken) with empty spaces for the guests to sign. I also want a fingerprint tree..I am absolutely in LOVE with them!!! And then we’re going to have a photobooth with scrapbook. I have a feeling that the photobooth scrapbook I’m thinking are going to be soooo much different than the e-pic book bc by that time our guests will have had a little alcohol and I can only imagine the things that will be written 🙂
