It happens when a guest buys you a gift that you didn't register for.
I've always thought it odd that it shows up on the print-out for other guests - but I think it's that way in case someone else has a similar idea (to get you that same unregistered thing) and can see it's already purchased for you.
Interesting.
But how do they know they arent buying that potato masher for themselves?
I bought a gift for a friend at BB&B last year and also picked up a few little things for myself in the same purchase. Yep...my bath stopper and sponges appeared on her registry. If you buy the items in one transaction, I think it just happens.
When FI's aunt (who is more like his mom) asked me what I wanted for my shower, I was sort of uncomfortable and asked for something he would really like - new steak knives. That night I then added steak knives to our Macy's registry.
Aunt then went to Williams Sonoma and bought two sets of their hyper expensive steak knives. They were added to the registry.
Sooo, there is one example. At least it was nice because I got info about them, a knew not to return them, because boy were they nice!

Sorry, there are no users yet.
Has anyone else experienced this? I have several additional items now showing on my online registries as "requested 0, has 1" type items. How does that happen?
Both Crate and Barrel and Bed Bath and Beyond have bonus gifts now.
