I think that's more than enough sunscreen as I can't see a lot of people taking advantage of that. I think most people would put on their own sunscreen before leaving home if they know that they are going to an outdoor wedding.
IMO, I think that 60 fans may not be enough. People probably won't have thought to bring something like that with them, and will appreciate them.
Keep in mind that I am completely biased as we are using fans as our programs and putting them on every chair with the bottled water. ;)
We are expecting 150+ people and are providing 150 fans. If you have an outdoor wedding I would definetly increase the amount of fans unless you are renting canopies. Our ceremony will be outdoor as well.
If you order too many packets of sunscreen, you can use the rest over the summer or donate them to a local shelter. I would consider buying more fans, that doesn't seem like enough. People will take them even if they don't plan on using them.
I am having a destination wedding and have the same issues. I have parisols and program fans. The parisols are to conceal my wedding dress, the fans will be programs. Since I am having a beach wedding I am assuming (biased as it may be) that only women will want fans. As for water we will have both buckets with iced down water and flip flops for the guests who do not want there heals to sink into the sand. The wedding planner suggest towels for folks to brush off there feet and retrieve shoes. Long story short, I had a friend have flip flops at a wedding for the guests and everyone loved it. Although the wedding was formal it added an air of ease and relaxation. Not everyone used the them. I say pick 25% that will not utilize the fans. As for the sunscreen, most people who are senstive will be lathered down and you can put extra's in a bathroom basket.
Definitely have enough fans for each person. I attended an outdoor wedding where they only had enough for about half the guests, and people were annoyed (and sweaty!).

I am planning on offering packets of sunscreen and paper fans in our wedding colors to our guests at our outdoor wedding (We will also have water bottles placed on each seat with the programs). I am expecting 150 guests. I wondered how many of each I should provide? I have found sunscreen packets priced out with 100 per unit and fans priced out at 10 per unit. My instinct says 1 unit of sunscreen (with 100 packets) and 60 fans since everyone will not take them. However, I don't want anyone to feel left out. Are my projections/potential orders too few?
