You know...it seems like no matter how far in advance you plan and distribute pertinent information in a timely manner....some people will still NOT rsvp on time or at all (even though its already addressed and pre-stamped)...will still not reserve their hotels and call you when all the rooms are blocked...and still ask the same 100 questions that you've answered 100 time before in emails they never read!!

I'm just ready for the day to be here already!

Word of advice: Leave your cell phone at the hotel.  My IL's were calling the DAY OF THE WEDDING for DIRECTIONS!  (I didn't know because my most amazing MOH answered for me...)  Now where do you suppose would be a good place to put that very crucial information?  The wedding website?  The invitations perhaps?  How about both?  Yeah, and did they use EITHER ONE?  Nope.  I loved my IL's right up until wedding week.  Then I wanted to strangle half of them.

LOL...thanks for the advice!!! And that is exactly how I've been feeling about the hotel information...its posted everywhere, as well as the directions....but yet they still call/email me asking!

I've started working on the mini wedding schedule for the bridal party and family...I have CONVIENTLY left off my cell number as I do not want them calling me for anything...and just in case they do...MOH and I have already decided she will handle all calls:-)

lol! i am really worried about this too!! it is a week before the rsvp deadline and i still need like 75 people so i'm pretty sure i'll have to compile a call-up list. i might give it an extra week, but really... is it so much to ask to just be on time about things?

@ Bloodg01....we are in the exact same boat...rsvp deadline is next Tuesdat and we still have about 50 people we have not heard from....well actually....we still have 120 rsvp cards we have not rececived, although plenty of emails and phone calls telling us they are coming....so I'm like, well send the doggone RSVP back...like are you kidding me...why do you think we put a stamp on it....I swear its like pulling nails!

Ugh! What the heck? I hate this too :(

I think it gets to a point where you stop answering calls and e-mails and such. We did this with our guests, but like, if people didn't RSVP after one call after the RSVP date, we just told them we assumed they weren't coming after a week's extension, and we did. We also didn't worry about hotel cut-off dates. People are adults and can make their own reservations if they don't use the group rate.

I have no tolerance for babying adults :)

yes!! we did the same thing, we gave them the stamp and everything. we received the first down the line message that someone would be coming yesterday. someone told my FMIL's cousin who then told my FMIL who then told me that an aunt would be attending. grrr lol which is still not helpful in the slightest, because i have no idea what meal choices are unless they send the RSVP back.

yeppers, that's exactly how it goes!  They assume that by CALLING or e-mailing that they are in fact RSVPing.  They don't even bother to look at the dang card and see that there are MEAL CHOICES.  And the people who DO send them back don't even MARK a meal choice!  I had people tell me "Well but you KNEW I was coming!"  Um yeah, but I'm not a psychic.  My rule was if I didn't get the card back, then I was ordering them the vegetarian meal.  And once I told people that, the cards poured in!!

Yes, people have no clue how the RSVPs are just 1 thing of many many many other details that are being planned.  People are so clueless.
