    Hey Loves!

So the fact that I ran out to buy the next book in the 'Blue Bloods' series last night (because it came out...erm...yesterday...), mad me wonder what your favorite guilty pleasure reads are?

Me? The Blue Bloods series (which, God help me, is in the teen fiction section, just like another pick...), the Luxe series, Jen Lancaster's multitude of memoirs, and the Sookie Stackhouse books, among many other, some of which reside in the Science Fantasy section and may or may not have dragons and back-tattooed ladies on the cover (but then again don't they all?)

The most intelligent literature ever written? Certainly not, but they sure are yummy...

I personally am always stuck in the teen fiction section. Don't know what it is, but I'm just drawn to those books! The Harry Potter and Twilight Series are both recent reads of mine. I'm usually into suspense mystery stories. Dee Henderson was a favorite of mine for the longest time. She wrote some awesome Christian mystery/suspense/romance books! Now I'm kind of digging around for some new guilty reads. I'll have to keep tabs on this post to get ideas!

    OOOO I love me some Harry Potter- I just didn't list it because I don't consider it a guilty pleasure. I think it's a revelation : )

Twilight on the other hand is definitely in my guilty category, and I definitely did indulged. Oh the shame ; )

I would have to say John Jakes.  The author of North and South.  I started re-reading the series again about a week before Patrick Swayze died (he played a main character in the tv seiries based off of the book).

    Another is Lori Copeland.

Last but not least is Harry Potter.  But i am with MsWhiskersLouise  I do not see it as a guilty pleasure.

@BrattKatt: You should definitely check out "Are You There Vodka?  It's Me, Chelsea."  It's SO hysterical.

My guilty pleasure are Nora Roberts novels, I don't know why! I don't even like sappy romance books but she just "gets" me. It's actually very annoying.

Also JD Robb novels, the way Eve and Roarke attack each other in wit brains, body and heart... /melts.   I love them and I love that Eve (star of the series) is a KICK ASS, Ask Questions later female :)

Oh my gosh... I am so addicted to/obsessed with the Twilight Series! (I'm 24, FYI lol).  I'm reading Breaking Dawn for the 2nd time, and I'm also reading Midnight Sun on Stephanie Meyer's website... I didn't want to read it until she comes out with the finished version, but I couldn't wait anymore :)

My guilty pleasure has always been shoot-em-up mysteries. Love them. Especially if there are a few good sex scenes :) My absolute favorite is Iris Johansen. She writes with a formula so when you've read 2 or 3 of her books, you basically know how the next one will go, but I don't care! I love them all and I've read every one she's written except the latest one that is out (saving that for vacation!!). Also, I love Dan Brown's books, he just came out with a fifth, yay!

Ok...I'll admit I've read every Harry Potter book several times...and the Twilight series more than once. My new "gulity" read, is the Marked Series....which is pretty much about a vampire girl/school and is written more for teens( seriously its like harry potter meets twilight meets gossip girl)....but hey they are a nice divergance from my history books ; )

Juliet- I definitely devoured the 'Marked' series. They're so ridiculous- and I mean that in the very best of ways. L-O-V-E... for no good reason : )

For those of you that like Harry Potter, you should listen to the audiobook versions by Stephen Fry.  It was like a whole different HP experience!  I threw them on my iPod since reading on the bus makes me sick!  Plus, then I can listen to them while I'm working.

I LOVED Chelsea Handler's My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One Night Stands. I read it on a plane and was laughing out lout hysterically. I felt like people knew what I was reading and was trying to hide it! I gave it to my friend when she left for Europe and she read it on the plane as well. I need to pick up Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea. She also has a new one in the works - Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang. Cant wait.

@arizonabride: I think that "Are You There Vodka?" is better than My Horizontal Life.  She has this chapter about her father that is completely hilarious.

Also, the people who liked the Chelsea Handler books -- the male version of her, Tucker Max has a book called, "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell" which is also great.

Philippa Gregory's books are such brain candy.  I'm reading "The White Queen" right now and really liking it.  "The Other Boleyn Girl" was so good I holed myself up in my college dorm and didn't emerge until I finished it.  You just can't think too hard about her imagining of historical events!

I am a sucker for fantasy novels. You know, the type with the horrible covers that look like harlequin romances? I love the Black jewel trilogy by Anne Bishop. Her other series about Ephemera was also good. And anything by Robin Hobb. Oh and Dan Brown. :)

I don't think Harry Potter is a guilty pleasure. I think it is pure awesome in printed form. :)

My biggest guilty pleasure is probably the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. It's an action series meant for preteen boys...but it's so funny and well-written that I own all six books in the series!

But I hate Twilight. With a fierce and bloody passion. It's just dreadful...

    Another Harry Potter fan here!

I also love Twilight and thought I was an ultimate geek until I was on the Tube in London and realised over half the adults reading on the train were reading Twilight books.

I did have a love of Patricia Cornwell books- maybe that is why I love Bones (another guilty pleasure tv programme). Not read one for a couple of years though.

Yeah, I read all the Twilight books, but I can't say that I really liked them.  I liked the first one, but after that, eh.  For some reason I just had to keep reading, though.
