I don’t want pesky children at my wedding because all I can imagine is them whining during speeches and lying down during the reception, but SO thinks it’s disrespectful not to invite them haha

As much fun as I know it’s going to be, I just want my wedding to be over with so we can start saving money and going on vacations again!

I waste ALOT of time at work doing wedding related research, planning, purchasing etc.

The wedding is costing me more than I wanted to spend and while I feel a bit guilty about it and it makes me a bit nervous, it’s not LITERALLY more than we have and I just really want this day to be nice!

@BeeG35:  well, I am not doing research or planning because my wedding is 8 days away (AH GoSH!) but I CANNOT. CONCENTRATE. And I feel bad :/

I spend way too much time planning – I make lists when I’m supposed to be paying attention in class and stuff.  And I feel guilty spending as much money as we are on just one day.

That I wish one of our OOT guests had RSVP’ed no.  I really didn’t expect she would fly out for our wedding since last time she was in town she didn’t even tell me or try to meet up.  She is one of those people who tends to take over the spotlight and I just would rather she wasn’t at my wedding.  I’m sure it won’t make a difference and afterwards I’ll feel silly for wishing she wasn’t coming, but there it is.

@MrsDinosaur:  I’m miserly when it came to decorations.  Spending more than $300 on flowers really made me cringe lol.

I wish we didn’t have so many people that like us! lol our guest list is big (like 200) and that was with making a lot of cuts. It’s the curse of having big families, and we’re just inviting our aunts/uncles/first cousins–no great-aunts/uncles, second cousins etc. (Except one of my second cousins because we went to college with him so he falls under the “friend” category)

And then people expect you to add a bunch of people “well you’re having a big wedding anyway…” Yes, well, not by choice!

Also, I feel terrible but it sort of bugs me that we have to invite all of FI’s long distance aunts/uncles and cousins that he doesn’t know very well because he only sees them once every few years. I have a large family too, but we see them all the time. FI has some relatives I know he wants at the wedding, but when we were making the guest list he wasn’t even sure of some of the names of some relatives. It wouldn’t really matter to him if they come or not. He even said we didn’t have to invite them. But of course we have to invite his mom’s siblings and nieces and nephews!

So glad I’m not the only one who thinks stuff like this! I have put a ban on children at the wedding because I know a couple of my friends would let them run riot!

@MrsDinosaur:  I think that every time we have to pay a vendor or discuss whether to have cake or cupcakes.  Let’s just cancel the whole dang thing and elope somewhere exotic with a two week vacation!

@MrsDinosaur:  Me too. I secretly wish my FI and I can just elope. But I know my parents would be crushed and my FI actually wants the big wedding. Ugh! Lol
