My husband picked out his at the market in Charleston when we went on a wedding planning trip. It fell off in the car on the way to the ceremony but we have some pictures with it. It didn't really match anything but he loved it so that's what mattered.

These are great bouts! I will be going with the traditional flower bouts, I'm thinking calla lilly with either a rose of carnation.
Those pictures are all wonderful inspiration! I'm going to make FI something to match my brooch bouquet.
Here are mine :) Made of paper flowers and wrapped with twine. (The big one at the end is a corsage)
I couldn't find a picture without my bouquet next to it... so sorry. Their bouts were "flies": when you fly flish you tie flies, so we made them into bouts. No, it's not a peacock feather.
FI is a musician when he's not at work (lol), so i was pretty excited to find an etsy seller who makes bouts and such with guitar picks and feathers. some examples of her work:
she also appears to do other little goofy things (little teapots, steampunk gears, plain "berry" or "feather" bouts), and some paper floral stuff too, made from old encyclopedias and sheet music. it's pretty cool. i'm waiting till we're a little closer to our date (like, maybe 6 months out, vs 14? lol) to send her a message asking if we can source our own picks so that the color is just right and perhaps to add a little extra unique meaning (smashing pumpkins is both of our favorite band, so a SP pick would be great). FI only wants one GM, his brother, who is also a musician (probably even more talented than FI), so it's perfect.
it'll be great since i'm thinking of making some feather flowers to mix in with the regular floral.

I love love love some of the non-floral bouts I've seen. I didn't get creative with DH and his GM and we just did some floral bouts that were cute, but every now and then I wish I had made something for them. Did anyone make or buy anything adorable that I can drool over?
