You probably could, but I just think long is so much more bridal. Maybe a reception drests though if you’re really interested?

@Laurenskii:  In all honesty you can pull off whatever you are comfortable and confident in wearing.  Have you found a tealength dress you like?  If so, go for it.  It will definitely be memorable since most brides go for floor length dresses.

I voted in your last dress poll and think you have a beautiful figure.  I think there is very little you WOULDN’T look good in!   I love tea length gowns and if you rock a gorgeous high heel (peep toes look awesome with that hemline) that would totally solve any worries about the height factor.   You should try some on and post another poll!

@Laurenskii:  Oh my God, yes! I just think they are so beautiful. I wore one at 5’3 and size 4-6. So not exactly the same size but not that far off. It really felt bridal.

For me the important things are (my opinion only):

-getting the right length dress (often they sit at the ankles, which to me looks so wrong)

– lots of layers of petticoat (made it feel so bridal)

– the shoes!!!!

@Laurenskii:  That dress is ADORABLE and very similar to the one I’ve been thinking about. Also possibly having a courthouse wedding. I think I would just feel weird showing up at a courthouse in a serious wedding gown. A tea length dress is perfect IMO.

@Laurenskii:  Why not go and actually try some dresses on? David’s Bridal has some, as do other places I’m sure. Maggie Sottero’s ‘Isadora Ann’ is beautiful, bridal, and tea-length.

I think it’s totally perfect for a courthouse wedding!
