Weddingbee boards

I know this may sound silly, but maybe talk to the high school and see their class prom director? My school had our proms in our gymnasium, and the teachers had decorating the gym down to a T. They knew how to get things on the rafters, how to camouflage paintings or logos on the wall, etc.

Mr.ND's family lives in a town where everyone decorates the gym for weddings. Some of my favorites were white christmas lights strung across the room to greatly lower the feeling of the ceiling, and also a large square of tulle with lights behind it to give a soft glow to an entire wall. Also, candles or lighting on the floor will draw the eye down and create 'areas' if you want places for people sit and visit, etc. There are many ways to play with the lighting and colors to make the room feel as big or as cozy as you want.
