Soour apartment gym is undergoing renovations for the New Year (dumb), so FI and I discussed it and we went to a local gym last night and joined until the wedding! I'm excited and we have  meeting with a trainer tonight. With me not having a job I think I'm just going to be there like 5 days a week (unless I get a job soon *cross fingers*). There's classes, a pool, literally hundreds of machines, I'm so excited! I just hope I stick with it! Wish me luck hive!

So jealous! Good luck at the gym -- I wish we could afford one...

I almost had treadmill rage last night in the apartment gym. I got a nike+ (AMAZING) for Christmas and I wanted to calibrate it properly so I really just wanted a 3/4 mile run. One of our four treadmills was broken and the other three were taken. Two folks had been on them for almost 45 minutes. I hopped on an elliptical and tried to bite my tongue and "pedal" my frustrations away. Since I was right behind the treadmills it didn't really work and I got more irritated the longer they were on there. (One girl had it set for 100 minutes -- seriously??) Finally someone hopped off, but man that made me want to join an outside gym even more!! Excited for you! :D

Yay!  I think working out with a trainer pre-wedding is awesome!  I've been thinking about it b/c I am not very confident in the weight area of the gym!  Are you going to work with the trainer regularly or just have them get you familiar with excercises and ares you can use when you go on your own?

Yay good luck! I really like the atmosphere of the gym. Try some classes, they're so fun! And they keep your mind distracted

@mizrunzou- we just have an initial meeting with a trainer, he's going to tell us what machines/classes will work best with our fitness goals and show us how to use the machines and such. We have the option of working with one on a regular basis, but it's expensive, and honestly my FI is a pretty hardcore fitness/nutrition person so he can help me with that stuff.
